Higher Education in Germany

Undergraduate

 The Pakistani Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) is not equivalent to the German Secondary School Certificate (Abitur).

To apply for an undergraduate course in Germany, HSSC holders must:

• Complete one year of undergraduate studies at a university in Pakistan in the same field, or
• Attend a foundation course in Germany (Studienkolleg) and pass the Feststellungsprüfung exam.

Only after meeting one of these requirements can HSSC holders be eligible for undergraduate studies in Germany.

Postgraduate

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, equivalent to a German bachelor’s degree.
• Proof of language proficiency, depending on the course language.
• Some universities require internship experience, minimum grades, and additional documentation.

Admission Process in Germany

Eligible Channels to Submit University Applications:

1. Uni-Assist: For universities that are members of Uni-Assist.
2. Direct University Application: For universities that are not Uni-Assist members.

Application Process through Uni-Assist:

1. Visit the Uni-Assist application portal.
2. Register and confirm your registration.
3. Fill out the online application form.
4. Provide personal and academic background information.
5. Select your desired university and program.
6. Upload required documents:
   • Printed and signed application form
   • CV
   • Letter of motivation
   • Passport copy
   • Language proficiency test results
   • Study certificate
   • School certificate
   • Extracurricular activity certificates
7. Submit your application.
8. Send a hard copy of your application to Uni-Assist.

Direct Application to Universities:

2. Proof of funds required for student visa application

Method 1: Blocked Bank Account
